Armstrong Runs red light; Crashes!
In his haste to win a race, seven time Tour De France winner Lance
Armstrong broke his collarbone after crashing into several riders that
were stopping for a red traffic signal. Said one pro rider "I can't believe a rider of his experience
would just blow through a red light in his quest to win a lousy race! I've been
cycling for over 20 years and have never ran a red light. It just makes no sense?" Race
officials echoed the same sentiment. " This is a horrible day for the sport of cycling considering
it was Lance who tried to gain some kind of cheap advantage by going through
a red light. It really puts things in perspective and really highlights how trivial things like
blood doping are in this sport. I'm just not sure the sport will ever recover!"
Armstrong latter apologized for the incident and vowed to make things right both in racing
and on the street. No word yet on when Armstrong might be back on his bike.
