Byron, I know you're a Dade county resident, so drop me an e-mail and I'll share my secret road riding gems down south.  I stick to roads with bike lanes or really little traffic as the south FLorida drivers terrify me.

will do Adi, I'll be riding all the hot spots when I get back in town .......I could not make the Lesters  ride today I had to pack my bags and road bike, that's right I'm taking the road bike and it's all I'll be riding till the Rumble....

I wondered what happened to you. I figured Dave did an Aborigene spell turning you into a roadiephobic zombie.

Besides the ratio of women to men is way higher on the road rides.

Yes, only very secure men can stand getting smoked on a bike by a dolled-up, full make up, color-coordinated bibs with bike, manicured, pedicured cycling woman...there sure are some fast ones out there.

BTW, I do not fit that profile..I'm the slow one with the beer-logo jersey...I do have pretty bikes however.

definitely enjoying the road bike, I did 30 miles yesterday and 40 this morning, my legs never felt so good......after a while you don't even notice the cars going by...but you do notice the ones that go by too closed to you...

That's why I like riding with the big groups. Although the cars sometimes do honk and scream at the group, there is no way they can't see you.

Make sure to get some lights. Even when I ride in the daytime I like to have the rear light flashing.

So Byron when are you hitting up the Lester's ride?  I'll make my way down to ride with you guys, it'll also be a nice change of pace from the club mud urban ride.
