« on: November 27, 2009, 07:47:22 AM »
Hi Everyone,
This coming Sunday Nov 29 will be the next date for the 100 Mile ride organized by Alex Pro Bike shop in Davie.
The web site for the bike shop is: http://alexbicycles.com
The ride begins in the parking lot in front of the bike shop which is located at 11466 W St Rd 84 in Davie, this is on the south side of I595 at the intersection of Hiatus Road, you can safely leave your car there. Start time is 6am and they leave promptly. The ride goes down to Key Biscayne and back. The route is basically, Hiatus south ,Orange Dr east, Griffin east, Dania Blvd east, A1A South, Alton Rd, Venetian Causeway, US1 south, Key Biscayne Bridge, REST STOP, retrace route via Rickenbacker Causeway. There will be two support vehicles following the ride to assist with flats and mechanical problems or if you are just plain tired.                           The ride itself does not stop for flats etc.
The support vehicles are provided by Aldolfo Rodriguez and his Personal Training crew, If you are looking for Professional Level training in Mountain Biking, Road Biking or Triathlons, you should contact Aldofo at  754-204-1888 or  ajrv3003@hotmail.com
There are two scheduled rest stops on the ride, one at halfway at Key Biscayne at approx 50 miles, and the second stop at Hollywood Beach at approx 75 miles, The pace of the ride is restricted to 18-20 mph, no attacking or breaking away or drifting off the front. The last ride 4 weeks ago had almost 100 riders and the crowd grows bigger every ride, we fully expect 100+ riders this time DONT MISS IT

The two ride organizers and leaders are:
Guillermo Vargas: guillermovargasr@gmail.com
